ANC Honours Cde Phaks Mankahlana
Today, 26th October, marks the 26th Anniversary of the passing of a revolutionary Young Lion, Cde Phaks Mankahlana.
He was one of the revolutionary Young Lions who led from the front, amongst many others, who were militant and radical youth leaders who fought and inspired South African youth to play a leading role in the struggle waged to defeat the apartheid regime in the late 80s and early 90s as well as in the struggle to reconstruct and develop our country in ushering in our democracy.
The Legacy Lives On
The ANC Youth League tradition that Cde Phaks represented - courage, discipline, and service to the people - remains central to our work of building better communities.
As we mark 114 years of the ANC, we recommit to building a movement that puts young people at the centre of development and renewal.
Long live the undying revolutionary spirit of Cde Phaks Mankahlana, Long live.
